Meet The Staff
Karen Tanzini - Owner/Instructor
Karen is originally from Buffalo, New York but has been living in Morrisville, North Carolina for the past 6 years. Karen has a strong passion for art and design and believes everyone has an inner artist within them. When Karen is not working at KidzArt, she loves spending time with her husband and children.
Heather Frazier - Instructor
Originally for Connecticut, Heather has taught KidzArt classes in Wake County since 2001. KidzArt enables her to draw on her fine art degree and her love of teaching to help students experience the joy of creative expression.
Christy Greene - Instructor
Christy has been a KidzArt teacher since 2008 and loves working with kids of all ages. She has taught KidzArt over the years along with being a 3-year old preschool teacher since 2008, at her church in Cary, Saint Francis UMC. She recently retired from my preschool teaching position in June of 2015 to pursue her dream of becoming a RN. Christy will soon be completing her nursing program in May of 2017 and hope to work as a RN caring for the pediatric population. In her free time, I plan to continue as a teacher with KidzArt and look forward to many more years of creating art with children. In her “other” free time, she loves spending time with family. Christy and her husband Paul live in Apex and have two teenage daughters Grace and Julia. Christy also loves to crochet and go running with her Lab/Golden fur baby T-Bear.
Jill Rinehart - Instructor
Jill was raised in South Carolina where her love of art first got its roots. After getting married she settled in Virginia where she got her BA in Art & Design at George Mason University and has been actively drawing, painting and teaching ever since. While raising her family she worked in both public and private schools and thoroughly enjoys interacting with students of all ages. Jill has been a certified instructor at KidzArt since 2014. Creating art isn’t just a career choice for Jill; it’s her life’s passion.
How Will Children Benefit From KidzArt?
KidzArt enhances a child's experience of art. Kids have a great need to express themselves in many ways — artistically, emotionally, physically and spiritually. KidzArt impacts each and every area of expression. The KidzArt classroom is a non-competitive environment enhanced by soft music that allows children to focus and enjoy what they are doing. Parents see the difference in the quality of art their children bring home. Kids get immediate results as their enthusiasm for art increases.
KidzArt impacts their lives by sparking their creative process in other areas as well. KidzArtreaches the artistic individual as well as those who never thought they could draw or create works of art!
